White Jeans Outfits to Wear as We Head Into Warmer Weather

If anything positive came out of the pandemic, for me, it was the chance to be more experimental with my personal style — before introducing my new looks to the public. In the last two years, I bought my first pair of white sneakers, leaned into the dark academia aesthetic (and literary genre), and even looked to '80s fashion icons for style inspiration. Still, there are a select few clothing items and looks that continue intimidate me, particularly white jean outfits.

Preppy

White jeans can be incorporated into many aesthetics, but they're especially common among preppy wardrobes. To get the look, grab your favorite button-down and tuck it into your bottoms. Drape a sweater over your shoulders (sleeves crossed or uncrossed), and complete the look with a pair of loafers or flats.

With a Pop of Color

An all-white outfit is a statement in and of itself, but it can also pose as a neutral backdrop for bolder, statement-making pieces, too. Whether it's a colorful cardigan or sweater, footwear in an electric hue, or an eye-catching handbag, let your bright white jeans and a matching tee take a backseat to your accent-colored add-ons.

Y2K

The fashion stylings of Y2K are back for 2022, and it just so happens all the crochet tops, strappy designs, cutouts, popcorn tops, and bandanas-as-shirts bode well with bright white bottoms. Just add butterfly clips, a leather blazer, or a mini purse to really nail the throwback aesthetic.

With a Blazer

Think white jeans are exclusive to the nautical, beach town aesthetic? Think again. White bottoms are workplace appropriate, too, so when you're back from spring break, you can style the warm-weather staple for the office with a few easy tweaks: Swap out your cropped denim jacket for a smart blazer, and opt for loafers, flats, or a closed heel over toe-peeping sandals.

In Skirt Form

White jeans come in pants, shorts, and skirts, so if you're looking for an alternative to your tried and true blue jean skirt, give its lighter counterpart a wear. It's the perfect shade for warm-weather months and super versatile. It can be dressed up with a bodysuit and blazer combo, or worn casually with a sweater on chillier afternoons or a flowy top and sandals when temperatures start to drop.

With a Cropped Sweater

As the seasons change and winter conditions attempt to do a 180 towards sunnier, warmer forecasts, you'll likely experience a handful of transitional days when the weather is very much unpredictable. These are the days you'll want to pair your favorite white jeans with a cute, cropped sweater so you can have your warmth, but stay cool, too.
